I found this picture awhile ago on the iPad. Kent took it from his car seat. We were parked in the Walmart parking lot. I think I was going over my grocery list. Seeing things from his perspective made quite an impression on me. I don’t often stop to consider what things look like through his eyes: how small he is and how much control I have over his whole world. I can turn in my seat and smile and say something encouraging and kind and light his face up with a smile. Or, I can grumble at him to be quiet while I make my list. I hope I did the first one on that day.
