Laundry Area Makeover Pt. 2: Before and Afters

The laundry area makeover is almost complete.  It was a lot of work but I am so glad I did it.  It’s like I gained a whole nother room in the house!  I would never have dared paint any other room this color but it works down there.  Now doing laundry is one of my favorite chores!  I won’t keep you in suspense any longer…

  • Save
Nasty, rusty corner with a "farm shower"
  • Save
same corner now with the ironing board and laundry tubs
  • Save
washer & dryer before
  • Save
washer & dryer now. the ruffle on top of the dryer is the worn out skirt that inspired the paint color.
  • Save
ceiling beams with mold specks on them
  • Save
ceiling now painted with a Kilz type primer. I <3 the white wash look.

More pictures and details to come in other posts.  Have you redone a room lately or are you thinking about redoing one?

  1. I love the new laundry room look!! Do you use those wash tubs? Do they have a faucet in them?

I’m re painting the kitchen this week! It’s hard with a nine month old, takes more time then before. The trim and doors will be chocolate brown and the walls will be Tiger Orange.

    P.s. Were facebook friends. 🙂

    1. Thanks!! Haha, you have a good eye. The faucets are not installed yet. We have a shower stall to go in that corner too, if we can find a way to get it through the door. That will be a winter project, maybe. 😉
